Biogroup Baltics (hereinafter – the Company, We) is the parent company of the Biogroup Baltics companies group.

This Privacy Policy regulates how the Company processes personal data of its customers and Company’s website www.biogroupbaltics.com (hereinafter – the Website) visitors (hereinafter – Users, you) and other persons and ensures the security of personal data. This Privacy Policy applies in conjunction with our Website’s Cookie Policy.   • Where we need to perform the contract, we are about to enter into or have entered into with you (or when you are representing the company we are concluding a contract with)

When you are contacting us by making a request by e-mail

If you contacting us by sending an email to us with any request (inquiring for information, making a complaint, wishing to exercise your data subject’s rights, etc.), we are asking to provide you certain information which we are processing:

When you are applying for an open position in the Company (Recruitment process)

In connection with a job application or inquiry, whether advertised on a Company’s website or job search portals, we process and store personal data of job applicants and potential candidates for employment. During the recruitment process we may process the data that you provide us with your resume (CV) or application.

The purpose of processing – identifying and evaluating candidates for potential employment and contacting selected candidates

Legal basis for processing – your consent (by applying for a particular position in the Company and sending your resume (CV) to us).

The period of data storage – until the selection process is completed, but not longer than 12 months.

When you are interested in a job opportunity in our company, but currently there is no suitable position for you and you send us your resume (CV) and cover letter

If you are interested in working in the Company and send us your inquiry and your resume (CV) with other documents, but currently we do not have an open position, we may process your data and contact you offering to apply for a newly created or vacant position in the Company, we may process your:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Contact details (phone No., email address)
  • Education
  • Work experience
  • Professional experience (certificates)
  • Other information that you provide on your resume

The purpose of processing – contacting potential candidate and offering him/her to participate in the recruitment process for the particular job opening.

Legal basis for processing – your consent (by sending your resume (CV) to us and expressing interest in working in the Company).

The period of data storage – 12 months after we received your resume (CV).

When you are visiting the Company’s premises, where video surveillance is performed we process:

  • Your image captured by video surveillance cameras
  • Other physiological features (eg movement / gait characteristics)

The purpose of processing – protection of persons and the Company’s property, prevention of criminal acts.

Legal basis for processing – legitimate interests of the Company – to ensure the security of the territory and premises and property of persons (employees and visitors of the Company).

The period of data storage – 2 weeks from the recording of records.

The Website may contain links to other sites. This Privacy Policy is applicable only with respect to the Website, but not any other sites, therefore we strongly recommend to review the privacy policies of any websites that you may reach by following hyperlinks presented in this Website. We have no control and no responsibility with regard to any content presented in sites other than the Website.

WHO CAN WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH?

We put our best efforts to keep your data safe and always require the high level of security and confidentiality from our employees and partners.

We may share your personal data with our trusted services providers that help us to provide services for you: companies providing us financial and accounting services, providing data center services or web hosting services, companies ensuring IT infrastructure and support services, etc. We use third party service providers to undertake processing operations on our behalf, and this may require us to share your personal data with them when they provide services to us, to you on behalf of us and under our instructions.

We will only provide service providers with the minimum amount of personal data they need to fulfil the services we request, and we stipulate that they protect this information and do not use it for any other purpose. We take these relationships seriously and oblige all of our data processors to sign service contracts and data processing agreements with us that clearly set out their commitment to respecting your rights as individuals, and their commitments to assisting us to help you exercise your rights as a data subject.

We may also disclose your data if required to do so by law or if we believe that such action is necessary to protect and defend the rights, property or personal safety of the Company, the Website or its visitors.

We only process your personal data in the European Union / European Economic Area (EU/EEA). We do not currently transfer your personal data to third countries when we process them. Whenever we will need to transfer your data to the third countries outside the EU/EEA, we will inform you before the transfer takes place and ensure the legality and adequate degree of security of the transfer (application of the necessary transfer mechanisms and security measures).

WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS?

As a data subject you have a number of rights in relation to your personal data. You can exercise the rights that are mentioned further by contacting us at dap.biogroup@bgb.lt

  • The right of access – you may, at any time, request access to the personal data that we hold which relates to you and receive a copy of data that we hold about you in order to enable you to check that it is correct and to ensure that we are processing that personal data lawfully.
  • The right to rectification– you may, at any time, request us to correct personal data that we hold about you which you believe is incorrect or inaccurate. We may ask you to verify any new data that you provide to us and may take our own steps to check that the new data you have supplied us with is right
  • The right to erasure – you may also ask us to erase personal data if you do not believe that we need to continue retaining it. We are not always obliged to erase personal data when asked to do so; if for any reason we believe that we have a good legal reason to continue processing personal data that you ask us to erase we will tell you what that reason is at the time we respond to your request. If personal data is erased under your request, we will only retain such copies of the information as are necessary for us to protect our or third parties’ legitimate interests, comply with governmental orders, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, or enforce any agreement you have entered into with us.
  • The right to restrict processing – in those situations when processing of your personal data is based on our legitimate interest you are entitled to ask us to stop processing it in that way if you feel that our continuing to do so impacts on your fundamental rights and freedoms or if you feel that those legitimate interests are not valid. You may also ask us to stop processing your personal data in these situations:
    • if you dispute the accuracy of personal data we are processing and want us to verify that data’s accuracy
    • where it has been established that our use of the data is unlawful but you do not want us to erase it
    • where we no longer need to process your personal data (and would otherwise dispose of it) but you wish for us to continue storing it in order to enable you to establish, exercise or defend legal claims
  • The right to data portability – you can ask us to provide you or transmit those data directly to another controller of your choice, where technically feasible, certain personal data that we hold about you in a structured, commonly used machine-readable format. However, you must keep in mind that you may exercise the right of data portability only on data that is processed based on your consent or on a performance of a contract between you and us and that is being processed by automated means. We can guarantee only transferring data to you in such occasions and cannot be responsible with technical compatibility of other party systems where data transfer is requested.
  • The right to withdraw consent regarding processing of personal data – you may withdraw your given consent for processing of personal data for particular purposes at any time by informing us at email biogroup@bgb.lt or following the procedure that was specified before obtaining your consent.
  • The right to object to automated decision making and profiling – you have the right to be informed about the existence of any automated decision making and profiling of your personal data and where appropriate, be provided with meaningful information about the logic involved, as well as the significance and the envisaged consequences of such processing that affects you.
  • The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – if you think that your rights have been violated, you may file a complaint to the Data State Inspectorate.

You can submit a request upon arrival at the Company’s office, send it by post or e-mail. The request must be clear, include your name, information about what rights and to what extent you wish to exercise, and how you would like to receive a response and the request must be signed. If you submit your application electronically, the request has to be signed with qualified e. signature, the information will also be provided electronically, unless you request it in advance to provide it in different way.

In the event of reasonable doubt as to the identity of the person making the request, the Company has the right to request additional information necessary to verify your identity.

We will endeavor to process your requests and provide you with the information as soon as possible, but no later than 30 calendar days from the date of receipt of your request. If due to certain circumstances, such as the complexity of the submitted request (e.g. if it is necessary to seek the assistance of data processors) or the large number of other requests processed by the Company, the period may be extended up to two further months. I such case we will inform you of any extension within one month of the receipt of your request together with the reasons for the delay.

Requests are processed and information and data are provided free of charge, but we reserve the right, in certain cases, to either waive your rights (where the request is unreasonable or disproportionate or repetitive), or the provision of information may be subject to charges – a reasonable fee taking into account the administrative costs of providing information or communication.

UPDATES OF THE PRIVACY POLICY

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time based on changes to applicable laws and regulations or other requirements applicable to us, changes in technology, or changes to our business.
